WORKFLOW

1. Have a nice chat with the team about what they want to portray with their new kits.

2. Brainstorm: rearching and sketching concepts and choosing color palettes that fit the team graphic identity (home kits). Sometimes, we are allowed to freestyle on away and third kits.

3. Refining the concept: once the club is happy with the sketches they receive, we work on refining the concept, colors, position of sponsors and other necessary details.

4. Pre-production sample: creating a real sample of the kits so that the club and their sponsors can approve the design, color, textile, and sizes and position of publicities.

5. Final artwork: preparing technical sheets with information on how the art must be printed, colors to be used, textile choices, sewing methods, sizes and position of publicites per sizes (adults, children, infants) and final artwork files. If required, the technical sheet will have specifications for competitions so that they kits are approved by the corresponding entity.

6. Quality control: Quality check both during pre-production and post-production.

7. Product photography: preparing compositions and graphics for social media and on/off presentations and newspapers.

8. Smile when the clubs are satisfied with their kits.

FEDERACIÓ CATALANA D'HANDBOL HOME KIT 19-20

The Catalan of Handball wanted a completely original kit that represented Catalan culture.

Estudiodavinci created the first brainstorm and offered a design based on Joan Miró's art, a very well known Catalan artist. From that point, I drew 4 to 5 sketches, from which the club chose the following kit. I wanted to make it look as if Joan Miró painted a jersey for the Federation, using their logo as a centerpiece.

GAZTEDI RUGBY TALDEA 21-22 CONCEPT

The team looked for something with stripes and gradients but they also asked to see new exciting ideas. One style they suggested was tribal art. I researched information on the team and discovered that their academy teams wore a salamander on their badges. I integrated tribal details with a hand-drawn reptile whose body I made of the initials of the main team (GRT).
