This is a story that tells the adventures of Chrysa and her journey to become a witch.
I created the story for the #spectrhuevember challenge and its prompts. The challenge consists on using certain hues of colour on your art during the month of November.
Materials used: watercolour pans (Winsor & Newton, Van Gogh and Schminke), Hahnemulë Britannia watercolour paper 300g matte, dip pen, Talens Indian ink, Faber Castell polychromo pencils.

Tales of Autumn Red
There was a wrecked place where the wolf howls at the moon. An abandoned shrine, sullied and destroyed. Humans and foxes used to live there and chat all day long. Now they are no longer appearing before us. But since you're a witch, close to the supernatural...perhaps you could see them. Just bring them inari sushi! And don't be afraid when the fox starts to ramble about stories untold. You'll be enlightened.

Tales of Purple Nights
Among the stories the fox had told Chrysa, there was one that made the girl’s heart race. Once a year, during the first night of the snowmelt, the fairies gather around the Elder Tree and crown a new Fairy Queen. If one charms that fantastical being, the rumour says that she would teach them how to speak to the trees, for she was a tree whisperer.

“You have been listening to me for half a day! I’ll give you my orb”, the fox said. “It will help you find any creature you wish.” And so Chrysa said goodbye to the fox and headed for her next supernatural encounter.

Tales of Teal Mist
The fox also mentioned that centuries ago, a great oceanic creature came from the waters and became rock and stone on the coast. Chrysa arrived at that town in the winter. She learnt how to carve the snake scales into magic jewerly. Before she left the town, she listened to the waves. There was a murmur coming from the ground... And then she realized that the snake did not turn into rock: it was sleeping. What would happen to the town if the giant serpent would ever awake?

Tales of Golden Waves
The fox waved its tails. "If you wish to see the city where the living meets the dead, raise my orb and call the Rokko. She will gladly fly you across the golden waves. Just don't touch her metal spikes, they will do more than prickle your hand." Chrysa remembered those words as she stared at a neverending desert that started below the cliff where she stood. And so she did what the fox told her. After a few minutes, a giant eagle appeared and invited the girl to ride on her back.

Tales of Rainbow Death
Chrysa visited a town where humans lived with alebrijes. So many different animals and colours! The townfolk told the girl that if she wanted a nice souvenir, she could have a tattoo, there were many talented artists there. And so she did. A fox tattoo, so she could remember the 5 tailed fox. She also rescued the a summer herald that same year. It seemed like foxes were her animal spirits.

And off she went! In search of her next adventure.
